How To Open Camera On Iphone 11 Lock Screen

Does anyone else hate the swipe to open camera on the lock screen?

I have never purposely opened the camera that way, it's always an accident, either when using the flashlight or sometimes just putting the phone in my pocket. I'm sure some people love it but it's driving me crazy, especially since there is already a camera button on the lock screen

I wish there was an option to doubleclick the lock button to quickly open the camera like on some android phones. Obviously would need to remap apple pay for something else.

it would be nice to have a second or third physical button near the home button. it's bad enough my 8+ only has one button. i can't imagine the lives of all those suckers out there with none buttons.

See this is what is potentially keeping me from switching back to iPhone. [Been on Android since the iPhone 6 was announced, just didn't like the design, which IMO peaked at iPhone 4.]

Anyway...

Why not give users the option to decide what the buttons do? Makes no sense.

I'm planning on switching over to iPhone and I always assumed you could customize that slide function for something other than the camera.

I just 3D Touch the camera. No waiting for a second like Haptic Touch. Just press hard and boom open.

Haptic Touch Press. Count to 1 one thousand and open.

I love this feature because I can access the camera quickly on friends' phones and take a selfie for them to find out later

You can also just press the camera button on the lock screen

It's hit or miss feature. I use it all the time but also triggered it accidentally all the time too.

I wish the camera button on the Lock Screen could be programmed to something else. It's just silly to me to have two shortcuts to the same app on there.

Ever since they discontinued 3D Touch, haptic is too slow to hold and I find it easier and faster to use slide to camera feature

Yep. I always accidentally swipe it. Sometimes at work when I'm putting my phone in my locker after my break is over. I come back to see the screen has been on the whole time.

I just want to turn it off.
